8 Steps to Creating Your Impactful Marketing Message

This is video 10 in my top 10 series of what I learned in my spiritual breakdown and came out the other side with a massive spiritual breakthrough. So my mission and my purpose is to eliminate fear from 1 million women across the globe by 2020 so they can live their life with power and purpose and without apology.

I am driven by purpose and I am motivated by millions.

In the last 9 videos, I have walked you through how to create step by step impact, both in your world, in yourself and for the people that you serve out in the big world.

The first couple of videos I really focused on getting connected, envisioning your why and your what? You need to have that connection first. And then it’s connection with your tribe and the people that you were meant to serve. I go into enrollment, engagement, monetization, and we even talked about how to pull your golden nuggets of your unique story, because what makes you different is your story. Your journey from the day you were born right up to today’s date.

Video number 9 I really went into some details about how to pull your story out and that really is to get super clear, year by year, what your journey has been like – the good, the bad, and, dare I say, the ugly.

Today’s video I want to talk to you about how to put all of that together - everything that I’ve talked about with your why, your what, your who, your when, your where, your how, and your story, into an amazing marketing message.

Whether that gets spoken from the stage or from a networking event, what you write in your blogs, in your products and programs that you sell, to any audio programs that you do – podcasts, tv shows, whatever it is. But however it is on a platform of those, of all three, the visuals, the videos, people seeing you in person so they get to know, like and trust you. On the written platform and on the video platform. Those are the three verticals that you really need to get good at, and if you are like me, I have struggled with all three and it’s in the practice and in the knowing by hiring and learning from the bigger brains on how to get your story and message out there so that you do impact millions and milliions of people.

So I in this video I want to talk about how to create a message in all of those three verticals, but what is passionate to me is speaking. Without speaking, and that can be a two minute talk, an hour long talk, a full day event, three days, whatever it is, you need to be talking to your audience. One to one is amazing. One to many is fantastic, whether it is in person, online, however, but you need to be speaking. You need to open your mouth! The most effective way is how I am going to teach you.

Grab your pen and paper!

  1. You need to wow your audience. What is that one or two golden pieces of your story that you can tell as you walk out on the stage or you write those first words on paper, that wow somebody – they go, ‘Oooh! I’m at attention and I have to listen to what she is saying.’
  2. Position yourself as the credible and professional and the expert. You know what you are talking about. You’ve got some leverage behind the content that you will be teaching.
  3. You want to position the audience. Talk to them directly. When someone is in your audience or reading your stuff, they need to be thinking, ‘Wow, she is talking directly to me.’
  4. The promise – what are you going to be promising them that they are going to walk away with? That is your content – your 3 to 5 golden pieces of what you are going to be teaching. Every vertical, whether it’s speaking or written or audio or whatever, you need to tell them what they will be walking away with at the end of the event or session or article.
  5. The content – what are you actually teaching them? What are the 3 to 5 golden pieces that they will walk away with that they can implement immediately? That they are going to learn from? And that will help them see a change – whether it’s relationships or love or money or spirituality, whatever it is. You are going to be giving them content that they are going to be able to implement.
  6. Throw in a call to action before you finish all of the content pieces. You want to be moving people to action before the end of them reading you or listening to you. What I like to do, is after the promise I go into content. If I have three pieces of content that I want to teach, I’ll deliver the first two and then I’ll throw in the call to action. Then I’ll go into the third and final piece of content, go back into a call to action. As adults, we like to be told what to do. Contrary to our teenagers, who aren’t quite yet adults. We need to be told what to do and how to do it. The call to action is very specific. It’s not just, ‘Hey, if you’re interested in buying my stuff…’. No, it’s like,’You know what? I’ve got this free gift for you! What I need from you is your name and contact information. Fill out the form and you’re going to get my free stuff! And if you are interested in having a conversation with me, meet me at the back of the room.’ That’s a quick and dirty of what a call to action looks like. You want to do that twice.
  7. Then you can talk about your story. Round out your story. That’s like the cliffhanger or the drama, the ending of … whatever happened to?? … and you wrap that up at the end of your talk or of your written piece.
  8. Then finally a call to action.

I’ll quickly recap that – you’ve got your wow factor, positioning yourself as the credible person that you are and the reason why they should be listening to you. Then you want to position the audience, then get into your content or the first couple of pieces of your content. A call to action, again content, another call to action. Round out your story, it’s like that big Christmas bow … and then a final call to action.

And then of course a Thank You!

There you have it. That is a powerful way to get your message out to your tribe so that they will listen to you and so that they will take action!

Your Impactful Story - Write it!

Here I am from Cuba with video 9 in my Top 10 lessons I have learned over the last couple of years with my spiritual breakdown and ultimately my spiritual breakthrough.

The last 8 videos are the step by step process on how to create massive impact in this world.

With my spiritual breakdown, I had an amazing moment of clarity and a download from the Universe.  My message was this: ‘Odette, your purpose is to eliminate fear from 1 million women across the globe by 2020 so that they can live their life with power and purpose and without apology.’

It was a great moment of clarity for me because not being woowoo and not understanding this whole spiritual side of me, I was like, ‘What the hell was that, who said that?’

And then when I got really connected to my why and my what, what is it that I wanted to created in this world? What connection did I need to have within myself as well as the outside world? How I was going to engage and enroll people?

I had this moment of, You know what? This is my purpose. I am driven by purpose so that I can motivate millions and be motivated by millions.

So videos 1 to 8 really takes you through the step by step process of envisioning, creation, connection, engagement, enrollment, monetization, impact, and I am getting crystal clear in how to tie all of that together.

What makes you unique in this world? Your story.

There are a trillion business coaches and life coaches etc. Whatever your industry is, you can guarantee there is someone else doing it. There is probably someone else who is doing it better than you. So the key is what makes someone who is in the same industry as you do so well? And ultimately what makes someone not do so well. The key piece here is getting the message out in a powerful and impactful way. The way to do that, the lessons that I have learned in the last couple of years, is sharing your story.

So I just want to quickly tell you the step by step process of how to get your story out. At least get it down on paper so that we can then take the raw material and formulate it into a marketing message that creates impact in both your life, your family’s life and in the people that you serve.

I have a process called Going Through The Ages. It’s a process that gets you really connected with every year of your life, from as far back as you remember. Some people might have had a tragedy at age 1 but you might not remember it. But it’s really important that we get connected to all of the things that happened to us. What we can remember. We may need to ask our friends or family about moments in our life that we are not able to recall because they may be able to recall for us. They are really impactful pieces of the story puzzle.

Here is what you need to do.

  1. Get yourself some flip chart paper that you stick on the wall. I’m a big believer in visuals.
  2. On the left hand side of all of these pages (and obviously the older you are, the more pages you are going to have stuck on the wall), you are going to write your age from one to however old you are. In my case, I’m 50. That’s a lot of paper. All the ages, 1, 2, 3, 4 right up to 50 for myself.
  3. Then on the right side, you are going to put your stories. The good, the bad, the ugly, that correspond with your age.
  4. So for age 1, I don’t know if I remember anything, so I leave it blank. 2, 3, 4, 5. I only really have my first memory at age 5 or 6 when I was going to kindergarten. I remember being really happy and being really excited about where I was going. I remember what I was wearing, I remember the teacher, I remember my friends. So I start with that. I put down all the memories that I have for age 5, and I put them right beside age 5. Age 6, the stories. Age 7, the stories.
  5. And the very first place to start is all of the stories that you remember. All those moments that you remember. Good, bad and ugly.
  6. As you start to work through this process, which does take days, months, weeks – you will always be remembering things that happened – and you want to have a place to put those memories.. Having it on flipchart paper is huge for that because it’s a visual.
  7. You put all the things that you remember first and it’s going to start percolating. And you’ll start remembering, ‘Oh man, I remember when I when I was 8 years out my tooth fell out,’ or whatever it is. Put the significant things. Your first kiss, your first boyfriend, your first breakup. Dare I say your first marriage, your first kid. All of those really important pieces of the puzzle.
  8. Then, through time you are going to start filling in the bits.

This is where the nuggets come from. Because when you are telling your story out in the real world, it’s not necessarily in chronological order. That’s boring. That’s a boring speaker. It’s how to take the nuggets, those golden nuggets, that have changed your life, that are pivotal moments. They don’t all have to be amazing stuff. They can be the heartbreak, the triumph, the tragedy, all of it.

In Video 10 I am going to talk about how to weave that all together with your marketing message.

But for now, we have got to get the story out first. I teach this on a regular basis and I can promise you this is where people have the hardest time. There is an emotional connection to your story, especially some of the negative yucky stuff. When I teach this in my programs, especially my Magnetize Your Message program which is a 2 day event where we get really real with our story. There are a lot of tears. There are a lot of joyful moments. There is a lot of, ‘Oh my god, I totally forgot that.’ We get the raw material. So we are harvesting the raw story so that we can then pull it together inside of a talk, a blog, tv, radio, audio, whatever it is. Weave those story bits that inspire other people into action because that is what impact is all about. You don’t have impact if people just say, ‘Oh yeah, that’s really nice.’

Impact is getting people to move them into a different way of thinking … into action. Getting them to pause and go, ‘Wow, I need to revisit what I am doing, the way I am thinking, the way I am behaving.’ That is the true essence of what impact is all about.

Let’s do a quick recap. Get your flipchart paper, stick it on the wall. Write down all your ages, from 1 to how old you are now on the left hand side. Leave plenty of room for the story bits that you are going to remember. Put them right beside the age. The beauty of this, it’s going to take some time. You are going to have moments like popcorn, where you will do,’I totally forgot that.’ So always remember to have a pen and paper by your bed, in your car, in your purse, so that way you don’t forget these most amazing moments in your life that have created you in your life to who you are today, and that make up the uniqueness of your impact in this world.

The fastest way to get your message out to the world

These are my top 10 ways I dug myself out of my spiritual breakdown and into my spiritual breakthrough.

The last 7 videos were around envisioning what it is you want to create in this world, connection, creation, enrollment, engagement, monetization and impact.

So today I want to talk to you about the fastest way to do all of that.

The fastest, most important way to get your message out into the world in a really big loud, audacious, tenacious way. And anyone can do it! Anyone, even if you are afraid of this.

I’m just going to get right to the point. There are three fast ways to do this, and then I’m going to nail it down the fastest way in the next video.

So, speaking, being heard, being seen and being visible is the fastest way to get your message out there.

  1. Speaking, whether it’s on video, on stage, on someone else’s stage.
  2. Audio, you’ve got to be recording your stuff. Whether it’s on iTunes or using any platform in order to get your message out through seminars and webinars.
  3. Writing. You need to be writing every day whether it’s a blog, an article, a response to someone on Facebook.

When you use those three platforms or speaking, writing and audios, the world gets to hear you. And then get to hear you in a big way. They get to see you and they get to feel you. It’s about establishing that know, like, trust factor.

When people know you and like you and they trust you, what do you think happens? They hear you, they listen to you, and the most importantly, they take action.

So if you aren’t speaking on a regular basis, right now I’m in Cuba on vacation with my friends and family. There is absolutely no internet but I’m shooting video. I’m in a place I love, by the pool, I just had my hair braided, I don’t have makeup on, it’s not professional video, the lighting is not amazing, but you know what? I’m still creating impact.

I’m still getting my word out there to you, the audience.

So, three fastest ways.

Speaking in front of a room at a networking event for 30 seconds is speaking. You are an official speaker when you are doing that.

You can take it right up to an hour long keynote talk to a full day event, to a three day event. It doesn’t matter.

Getting yourself up in front of a room is speaking. So some of you who are afraid to speak, you say you’re not a speaker. Just the fact that you go to a networking event and you stand up in front of everybody? You might be shaking, you are still speaking.

Audio – record your voice somewhere so that people can hear you. Whether it’s on Instant Teleseminar, iTunes, podcasts, any platform that offers the audio. TV shows, anything that can get you recording your pearls of wisdom.

Writing – make sure you are blogging. Make sure you are writing articles. Maybe it’s a newsletter. You can write for other people’s blogs. It doesn’t matter. Here’s the thing. When you speak, you write and record your voice, it’s not that you need to do something with your voice right away. You can store them and save them. They can become books. They can become a podcast series. They can be programs. They can be transcribed into home study systems. It’s endless.

When I built my first business I didn’t have any of that. It was a big deal to record a video. The only thing I did to get my business off the ground was office presentations. I went out, and I spoke as often as I could in front of a room full of people, whether that was one person or a hundred people. That was the ploy. I picked up the phone, made sales calls and got myself booked to do office presentations. I didn’t really even do any networking. I don’t think I even knew where to network. But I knew where my audience was and I knew what I need to do. I just needed to be in front of them.

Where are you going to be in front of your audience? Take a look, do some research. Where are all the networking gigs you can go to? Where are all the speaking gigs you can ask to be a speaker or at least attend, so you can stand up in front of the room and ask a couple of questions. That’s a really great ploy I used to do. If I wasn’t speaking at an event, but there was a microphone, I’d be like, ‘I have a question.’ And that got me in front of the room. So it’s scary stuff, but it’s fun.

So the three fastest ways – speaking in front of a room whether it’s live or on video, record your voice because that really can become an amazing home study system, and writing – make sure you are writing articles and blogs and things like that. You have the three verticals, the three platforms in order to get your voice and your message out there.

Remember with the internet, what happens? This shit goes viral, and it’s awesome.

That’s what you want. You want to go viral, so that you can create lasting impact in this world.

How are you going to leave the world a better place?

Coming to you from Cuba with my Top 10 list of how I dug myself out of my spiritual breakdown into a spiritual rebirth and reawakening.

The first video in this series is about envisioning your why and your what. The second one is around creation. What are you creating in this world? Number three is about connection. How are you connecting with yourself on a deeper level as well as people in the outside world? Number four is around engagement. Are you engaging with people? It’s so important that you have that constant and authentic engagement with self so that you can have a real and authentic engagement with other people. Then we have enrollment. How are you enrolling people into your mission and your why, as well as enrolling yourself on a daily basis so that when you come up with those gremlins you say I’m enrolled and super connected. Then we had monetization. It’s around monetizing your business and your world. Money is around the energy and flow of money. Money out, money in, and money giving away.

In today’s 7th video I want to talk to you about impact. Because none of this really means anything if you aren’t creating greater impact in this world. What I mean by impact is what legacy are you leaving in this world? What mission and vision is tied to making the world a better place than the day you were born? Or even today’s date?

How are you going to leave this world a better place? We are all going to pass away. We want to be able to leave our mark.

This is about impact. My mission is to eliminate fear in 1 million women across the globe by 2020 so they can live their life with power and purpose and without apology. That came to me when I was in my spiritual breakdown. It was like, Odette, this is your purpose. This is what you are meant to do. But first, we have to make sure that you have eliminated your fear and that you are living your life with power and purpose.

  1. Impact yourself. Arm yourself with the right people, the right mindset, the right tools and the right strategy so that you have impact in your own world. Without that strength, it is really hard to go out into the world and create something magical.
  2. Create impact for your family and friends – your inner circle. That is the most important thing because when you create that impact in that inner circle, you are building strength and momentum. Often for a lot of people, the inner circle are the most critical. The most critical is ourselves. And then our inner circle. Sometimes it’s our friends or family or spouses or children that go, ‘Can you really do this? Are you crazy?’ They are secretly saying, ‘Go for it!’ but we are scared because we don’t have that kind of impact, or gumption that you do. So I look at it as negative or a slight or a comment that is fearful from somebody else to reinforce the reason why I have to have greater impact in this world so that my inner circle people can feel truly blessed and magical in their day to day living. Maybe I’ll have a little bit of ripple effect and change the world around me. Often changing the world doesn’t mean you have to change millions and millions of people’s lives, sometimes it’s just changing one or two and what happens? When you change one or two lives, they’re going to change one or two lives and so on, and so on.
  3. Change the world. What’s really important here is your mission needs to be bigger than you. Your vision needs to be way bigger than you. It’s scary, but it’s also very exciting because when you change a life. When you change a problem, solve a problem in the world, guess what happens? First, that problem becomes not a problem anymore but the people around that problem, what they do is go, ‘Holy crap.’ A life has been changed. The economy has changed. The environment has changed. People will start to see that. And that will latch on to their own impact project that they want to create. So your impact project not only will do a couple of things – it will solve a problem or a challenge in the world, but it will also help people who aren’t quite ready to step into their own impact project. They can then piggy back onto yours. And charities are really great for that because what happens is someone who doesn’t have the wherewithal or the mindset or the desire even to create their own project, may piggy back onto yours and now you have this great big sales force that are behind you. They are the ones that are volunteering their hours, their time, their money and their energy so that your project can have greater liftoff and greater momentum.

So impact is around creating greater impact in yourself, it’s around creating greater impact in your inner circle, the people that are closest to you, and then creating impact in the world. My business actually started from an impact project which was just to do a seminar for women because I built a 7 figure business, I knew what to do because I had tapped into other people to teach me how to do it, but I just wanted other people to experience what it’s like to latch onto their dream of building a business. It was just supposed to be a Saturday afternoon event. As I was doing the work I thought, ‘Shit… why don’t I just build a business out of it?’ And that was six years ago.

What is your impact project and what are you going to do starting today? Even if it is just something as small as giving away money, saying thank you, smiling at someone. Start small with those impacts, because I can promise you they are what make the difference in the world.

Three ways money impacts your business

This is video 6 in my Top 10 tips I’ve learned from my spiritual breakdown and my spiritual rebirth.

In video 1 we talked about envisioning what you want and why you want it.

In video 2 we talked creation – what you are creating for your life, your business and the world?

In video 3 we talked about connection – how are you connected with your deeper inner self and the outside world, prospects, clients and people that can help you and who you can help serve the world in a bigger way.

In video 4 we talked about engagement – the most important thing when you are connecting with people is how engaging are you? And getting connected once again with the deeper meaning of your purpose and your vision.

Video 5 was about enrolling people into your vision and your mission with the message you are giving. You have to make sure that you are articulating in a profound, meaningful and authentic way.

This video is about monetization.

As an entrepreneur, we are meant to make money. We are meant to ask for money, we are meant to spend money on our business, to grow it. When we have that circle and flow of money, we have greater impact on the world. I’m in Cuba right now and I think a great many of you know what Cuba is all about. Every opportunity that I have, when someone serves me, I hand them a tip. It’s an all-inclusive resort I am at, but it makes sense to me to say,’You have served me in a way that has made me feel a little bit better and I want to reward that.’ So I have been tipping like crazy and it actually feels amazing.

Monetization is a combination of these three things:

  1. It’s about making money. We need to make money in order to eat and live and that kind of stuff. As an entrepreneur you need to be asking people on a daily basis to pay for your service or your product. So asking for the money is so crucial.
  2. Giving away money. When I say giving away money, I mean freely – donations, tipping, paying. Basically handing someone money and saying, ‘Here I want you to have some money.’ So it is paying it forward when you are in a coffee shop in line. Just randomly giving away money as an act of kindness. Money has energy and when you give it away, guess what happens? You end up receiving money as well.
  3. Spending money on something that you need for your business and for your life. A lot of people are hanging on to the money we have. We are so afraid to spend it because we are afraid we are never going to get it back again. But if you don’t spend money to grow your business, you’re not going to grow your business, but also you are telling the world that you aren’t worthy of receiving money.

So the 3 things you need to be doing so that you monetize your business and life so you have more abundance, not only just financial wealth, but feeling good on the inside – emotional abundance, relationship abundance, are ask for money, give away money, and spend money.

You need to spend money in your business and in your life in order to grow and create greater impact.

That is the energy flow of money. Money in, money out.

The circle of money is wonderful. When you have the money to do the things you want to do, it becomes about choice. Instead of, ‘I don’t have the money, I’m broke, it’s too expensive.’ All of that negative talk gives you negative energy and what happens is the more you said, ‘I can’t afford it, I don’t want to spend the money, I am not going to give away the money,’ you don’t get money back. Money is energy and money is a flow. Money in, money out. Just like the tides!

When you follow those three principles, guess what happens? You have greater impact in your life, in your family’s life, your clients’ life and in the people that you serve and support.

My mission is to eliminate fear in 1 million women across the globe by 2020 so they can live their live with power and purpose and without apology. And that includes the money flow.

How to Get People To Sign Up to Work With You

This is Video 5 in my series of Top 10 things I have learned stemming from my spiritual breakdown that I had about two years ago, and how I have evolved from that place to where I am today, which is an amazing place in my life and in my business with family, with friends, and I want to be able to share with you some of the tips and strategies that I have used to pull myself out of that spiritual breakdown and into spiritual recovery.

In this video we are talking about enrollment.

Just a quick recap – video 1 was around envisioning, getting really connected to your why and your what. Video 2 was about creation - what are you creating for your life, your business and the world? Video 3 we talked about connection. How are you connecting with people and how are you connecting with your inner, deeper self? Video 4 was about engagement – everything is about the engagement that you have with your audience, yourself, and your prospects but also with the people in this world that can help you. They can help you grow your dream, and your vision so you can have a greater impact in the world.

Video 5 is about enrollment. Enrollment to me is how to get people to say yes to you.

Not only ‘will you buy my stuff’ yes, but ‘will you be part of my tribe? Will you be one of my followers? Will you be listening to what I say? Will you be influenced and impacted by my message, my vision and my mission?’ Without getting people to a yes, you don’t have impact. You don’t have a business. And you don’t have a greater influence for people that need what you are selling or what you are offering. I believe that everybody has a story, a mission, a vision and a bigger purpose, and as I mentioned in the other videos, mine is to eliminate fear from 1 million women across the globe by 2020 so they can live their life with power and purpose and without apology.

The enrollment of that is how to be an influencer so that people are actually listening to what you have to say so that they can have a greater impact in the world. That is the ripple effect. In order to have that ripple effect, you need to have enrollment.

The top 3 things I do for enrollment:

  1. Enroll yourself in your vision and your dream. Without enrolling yourself, and having yourself into saying yes to your own dream and your own vision – so many people don’t, and I know that sounds crazy but it’s true – so you have to enroll yourself and then you have to go after it no matter what.
  2. Enroll people who are like-minded. They think like you do, they want to have greater impact in this world. They may be offering the same type of service or product, but it’s about connecting with other people who have that same big vision. It doesn’t have to be the same industry, but you want to be hanging around other people who want what you want, who want to create what you want. Who want to be as engaging as you want to be. And you want to learn from them. It’s about enrollment of other people in your vision and your dream – people who can help you and carry you along, and likewise. You need to be enrolling in their vision and in their dream so you can support them.
  3. Enrollment of people to say yes to you – to buy your product or service. To buy into your dream and buy into your vision. It’s not just about the money piece, though that is a big part of it (we all need to eat and live and have a roof over our head), but it’s about getting people to a yes in their heart and in their energy and in their body and in their mind, and then ultimately getting people to say yes to buy what you have to offer. Because let’s face it, as entrepreneurs, we need to have clients. In order to get clients, you need to create stuff that they want. You also need to enroll them. It’s about how to get people to that place of saying yes to you with your message that’s authentic to you, that is in alignment with your head, heart and feet, that is in alignment with your greater purpose for your own life, for your business and for the world. Enrollment is not a bad thing. A lot of women, especially women who are starting out in business – are afraid to enroll people. ‘I don’t want to charge for my services,’ ‘What will people think,’ ‘Am I being too pushy,’ ‘I don’t like sales.’ Enrollment is not about selling people into stuff that they are going to give you money for. It’s about enrolling them into your vision and your mission and your purpose, so that they can in turn enroll people into their vision, and their mission and their purpose. That is the beauty of the ripple effect.

So enrollment – enroll yourself into your vision and mission. Enroll people that are like-minded, that think like you do and want what you want. Enroll people for them to say yes to you – yes to buy your stuff but also to enroll them in your vision and your dream so that they can have a much bigger impact to the people that they want to enroll.

Show Up, Engage Your Audience and Success Will Follow

This is Video 4 in my Cuba series.

The last couple of videos I’ve been talking about the impact that I want to create in this world, which is to eliminate fear in 1 million women across the globe by 2020, so they can live their life with power and purpose and without apology.

I talk about my spiritual breakdown in the last couple of years, and my reawakening and my rebirth of the person that I want to be and how I want to show up in this world.

I am doing the top 10 things I have learned over the last couple of years.

Video 1 talks about what you want to create in this world and why you want to create it.

Video 2 is about the creation piece- what do you want to create for yourself, for the people you want to serve and for the world at large?

Video 3 talks about connection – how are you getting connected, or do you need to get more connected to your inner self, your connection to the people that you want to serve and the connection to the people who can help you and you can help them.  Because impact doesn’t happen by yourself, it happens with the collaboration of other like-minded people.

So today’s video I want to talk about Engagement. How are you showing up in the world and how are you engaging with the world? I always like to talk about the 3 most important ways you can take the learning and apply it into your life, and how to apply it into your life immediately.


Today I want to talk about engagement.

Engagement with yourself. Are you engaged with your why and your what and your how on a daily basis? Do you have that constant reinforcement of ‘This is what I really want to create no matter what fear shows up.’ You can’t engage with other people until you are engaged head, heart, soul, mind and body with yourself. Because that is what people feel. They feel that energy. If there is a misalignment or a disconnect in any of that, people feel that and the engagement bar is lowered and people are not connected with you.

Engagement with others. How are you engaging with people? What method are you using to get your message out to the world, to create that message that you want to serve and support people on a grander scale? The engagement piece is – are people hearing what you are saying? Are they hearing what message you have for the world? Instead for most people, which is really sad, we are hearing the fears and the resistance that you have and the volume is just really turned down way too low. We are all meant to serve on a grander scale in this world, I really believe that, we all have a purpose. And the only way to get that purpose out into the world is through engagement with other people. How are you engaging with others? What methodology? There is video, audio, speaking, putting on events, having 1:1 conversations with people, social media, and there is real world in real time. As the internet has taken a hold of our life, we are missing that 1:1 engagement, that face to face engagement which is so important.

Engagement with the world at large. In order to get engaged with the world, you need to be motivated and driven by your why. Why are you doing what you are doing and who are you meant ot serve in this world? I say that and reinforce it because so many people out there say, ‘I really want to save the world and I really want to make a difference,’ but yet you keep your engagement really at a low level frequency. That is not going to happen, that’s the reality of it. If you have big dreams and big vision, how are you engaging with the world? What is your mission statement? Mine is eliminate fear in 1 million women across the globe so they can live their life with power and purpose and without apology. That just came to me in moments of meditation. And coming from the non-woowoo space, I realized that I was so engaged and listening to the messages that were being given to me and the only way to hear the messages coming from the God, the Universe, the higher up, whoever it is that does it for you, that if you are not listening then you are not engaging. You are not connected and you are not creating.

So the three engagements are with yourself, with the people you are meant to serve, and with the world at large. What platform are you using? Hands down you have got to use video, you have got to use the 1:1 piece and you’ve got to use the internet tools that are available to us. The most useful resource that we have is the thing that is probably in our very back pocket or in our purse, which is typically no more than 6 feet away from us – our phone. Use your phone as the tool to engage with people just like I am doing right here from Cuba. The internet is horrible, practically non-existent, but I am still creating and engaging and connecting with people through the use of video.

I encourage you to pull out your phone and shoot a video. Give it a shot, give it a whirl, don’t worry about what you look like. Just really start that engagement piece.

3 Ways Conscious Connection Helps You Build Your Business

I am back with the 3rd video in my 10 part series about creating impact in your business and in your life.

Video 1 covered the most important way to start – Envisioning what you want and why you are doing what you are doing, and getting crystal clear about what is getting in your way.

Video 2 talked about creation – what is it you are creating for your life, for your business, and for the world?

So many of you want to have greater impact in this world. You want to change lives, including your own or your family’s, or the people that you were meant to serve.

Video 3 is around Connection which is the third step in the process of creating a greater impact.

My impact and my mission is to eliminate fear from 1 million women around the globe by 2020 so that they can live their life with power and purpose and without apology.

In order for me to do that on a grander scale (or one person at a time) is creating impact through connection.

So what I want to tell you in this video is the 3 most important ways that you need to make connection with people.

Connection with yourself. Connect deeper within yourself. Without that connection within yourself, who you are, who you want to be in this world, how you want to show up … take a look at how you actually are showing up. I talk about this in my previous videos about my spiritual breakdown, really was the disconnect I had with myself. I wasn’t connected to the person I knew I was. I was being somebody else. There is always a long story around that, but I wasn’t feeling authentic. So it is that connection with self. Be really honest with yourself of how are you showing up in the world, and how do you want to be in this world.

Connection with other people. The people you want to serve – are you connecting with them on a daily basis? I mean in person, on video, online (but don’t hide behind the online connection piece). People need to know, like and trust you, and the best way for that is to hear you, to see you, to feel you. The only way to do that is either the in person – speaking on your own stage, creating events, speaking on other people’s stages, and ultimately creating video. That is the deeper way to connect, especially in today’s day and age. The connection piece with writing a blog and articles, that’s really important as well, but people just want to get to know you – the real you.

Connection through other people helping you get connected in a bigger way. Too many entrepreneurs think they can do it by themselves. You play small by hiding behind your computer or the social media piece and not getting out in the real world and – women are famous for this – not asking for help. You create far greater impact in this world when you connect with other like-minded people. You joint venture, you collaborate, you ask for help. The best way for some people to ask for help is to offer the help first. Say, ‘Hey, how can I serve and support you in a bigger way? So that collectively we are raising the bar and creating greater impact.”

These three ways are connection with yourself. Number one - get really connected with who you are and how you really want to show up in this world. Number two – get connected to the people that you want to serve. And number three – get connected to the people that can help you and you can help them. I promise you, your impact will be 10-20-30-100-1000 times greater than what you can do on your own.

Here is how to create your own success

I am here with Video 2 of my Top 10 series of what I have learned in the last couple of years coming out my spiritual breakdown into my rebirth, my reawakening.

Video 1 talked about the most important thing that we need to do – the very first step in the process – Envision. What are you envisioning? Get connected to your why and what, and most importantly understanding what fear or resistance that is holding you back from getting connected to you why and getting connected to your what and living a life of amazing purpose and power.

So my vision is to eliminate fear from 1 million women across the globe so they can live their live with power and purpose and without apology. And my goal is by 2020 to reach those 1 million women.

Here in video 2 I want to talk about the next step which is creation.

What are you creating in your life? In your business? And in your world?

I want you to walk away with these three steps:

1. Creation for your life. You need to start with a life plan. How do you want your life to look? Where do you want to be living? Who do you want in your world? Who do you want out of your world? For me, when I created Women on Top, the most important thing for me was to be able to live and work anywhere in the world. I’m here in Cuba now with my friends and family and I am able to work as I choose to, as I create. So what are you doing in your life that is creating the life that you truly and deeply desire, so that you can live you life with power and purpose and without apology.

2. Creation for your business. The second step in the creation is business. If you are an entrepreneur, what are you creating as far as your programs? Your products? Do you want to write a book? Do you want to do online delivery of your service? Do you want to do 1:1 work? Are you in creation of brand spanking new and you want to have a business but you don’t know how to get out of your job, or how to start? The most important part of that is creating from your life first. So what are you creating in business? How are you making your money because fact it we need money to live.

3. Creation for your world. Something bigger, something that is an extension of you. Let’s fact it, we are not on Earth just for ourselves. We are here to leave a footprint. To leave a legacy. What is that legacy that you want to leave?

When we get connected and completely aligned with creating for our life, for our business or our money maker, and getting really in alignment with creating something bigger in this world – an extension of us – we are then driven by purpose and by power. The fears and the gremlins that come into our head shrink because our action steps are in alignment with the things we want to create.

So we have to have our head, our heart and our feet in alignment, consistently, so that we stay in action for the things we want to create for our life, for our business and for the world. And what happens to our fears? They start to diminish. It doesn’t mean you are going to get rid of them completely, but at least they shrink and that’s what we want. That’s what we really need to do to make our mark in the world. Too many people out there are living a life shrouded in fear and resistance and lack of abundance, whether it’s financial, emotional, relationship. Take a look at where you are being resistant and look at what it is you want to create.
