Money is Mindset

Take a snapshot of exactly where you are in your business and how much money is in your bank account right now. 

Ask yourself this, 'In 3 months how will I feel if I am in the exact same position or, even worse, less than where I am right now?' 

Now go and splash some cold water on your face, because this is the cold, harsh reality of so many businesses...

How often do you hear yourself saying, "I can't afford it", "I don't have the money", "That's out of my price range"? 

Too often. I know because I used to say that all the time. I grew up with immigrant parents who believed that if you don't have the cash, you couldn't afford it. Growing up with this philosophy seemed 'normal'. Until I became an entrepreneur. 

The reason why most business owners don't prosper is because they have to go out and find the money, rather than having it handed to them every 2 weeks. Yes I know when you are an employee you work for it, but you don't have to go out and find it (sales is the exception but even they are entrepreneurial). 

4 years ago I hadn't made a dime in my business because I didn't take the action required. I literally thought that my website would do magic and bring in the business and I could just sit back and wait. Then it dawned on me. I had to do something to find the clients to get me the money. (My first business was built the old fashioned way). 

So here are the top 10 things you need to do as a business owner to find the money:

7. Marketing

6. Setting goals

5. Strategy and action plan

4. Knowing your personal and professional core values

3. Building a team of support

2. Working with someone to show you how   

And the number 1 thing you need to do is: 

 

  1. Change your Mindset   

 

Acknowledge what is stopping you and do whatever you have to to eliminate it from your life forever

How often have you said, 'oh I never thought of it that way', 'that's a good way of looking at it' and 'that was easier than I thought'? 

So when I need money for something I really want, I work harder, go to more networking events, speak more, ask more, get more clients. I work from a place of 'already having the money' rather than a place of 'I don't have the money'...which is a place of 'giving up'. 

Successful people never give up, never give in and never say they can't. They sure as hell don't justify why they don't, can't or won't. 

It's the law of polarity. If you come from a place of lack, you remain in lack because you think and ACT from a place of lack. You stay stuck in 'I can't'. When you come from a place of 'I already have the money' you think and act from a place of abundance. You move to a place of 'how can I'? 

Money is mindset. I know this to be so true because I have lived in both sets of mindset. 

Bonus tip: Now do the top 10 things consistently, deliberately and regularly and I promise you that you will get more clients and make more money. And in 3 months your snapshot will look different than what it is now.
